2023 WWE Royal Rumble results: Live updates, recap, grades, matches, card, start time, highlights

WWE kicks off its 2023 special events calendar with a tried and true fan favorite, the Royal Rumble. Thirty superstars will compete in his men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches, with the winner of each claiming the world title at his WrestleMania 39.

The Royal Rumble takes place Saturday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Marquee matches will feature 30 superstars competing at regular intervals. Dropouts occur only when the superstar crosses the top of his rope and both feet touch the floor. The sole survivor will earn the right to challenge for the World Title at WrestleMania. The event is an opportunity for new stars to emerge or for Big His stars to reappear in the title picture. The Rumble often spotlights returning superstars, cameos by legends, and celebrity guests.

Two title defenses are also scheduled for the event. Reigns defends his two world titles against Kevin Owens. Bianca Blair jeopardizes her raw women’s championship in a match against her ally-turned-enemy Alexa Bliss.

The WWE Royal Rumble will be streamed live from the Alamodome on Saturday. Scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET, he kicks off at Peacock an hour before his show kicks off at 7 p.m. CBS Sports will be with you throughout the event, providing updates and highlights as the action goes down in the live blog below.
